Refund and Returns Policy
Refund Eligibility
Refunds are available only for returns that:
- Are requested within 14 days of confirmed delivery
- Receive RMA approval before shipping (email approval + RMA #)
- Arrive in unused, uninstalled, unmodified, resellable condition with all included components/accessories/documentation
All returns are subject to inspection. If inspection indicates use, installation, modification, or damage beyond reasonable inspection, the return may be denied.
Refund Amount
If approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically include:
- Item price paid + applicable taxes
Shipping charges are not refunded. (If shipping is included in the product price, there is no separate shipping line item to refund.)
Restocking Fee (Non-Defect Returns)
To deter “try-and-return” behavior and cover non-recoverable costs (processing, inspection, repackaging), a 15% restocking fee may be applied to non-defect returns (buyer’s remorse), at Vulcan Foundry’s discretion.
No restocking fee is applied when:
- We shipped the wrong item, or
- A manufacturing defect is confirmed.
Refund Timing
Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days after the return is received and inspected. Bank posting times may vary and can take longer.
Return Shipping
- Buyer pays return shipping for standard (non-defect) returns.
- For Vulcan fulfillment errors or confirmed manufacturing defects, Vulcan Foundry will cover return shipping (typically via a prepaid label).
Denied Returns / Unreturnable Condition
If a return is denied due to condition (use, installation, modification, damage, missing components):
- The item may be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense, or
- If unclaimed after notice, it may be handled per our internal disposition process.
Resale, Open-Box, and Final Sale Items
Resellable Condition Requirement (Why It Matters)
To protect customers and maintain product integrity, returns must arrive in unused, unmodified, resellable condition. Products that show installation marks, sanding/filing, heat shaping, adhesives, coatings/paint, or other alteration are not eligible for return.
Open-Box / Returned Item Resale
Approved returns that pass inspection may be resold by Vulcan Foundry as Open-Box or Blem items. These items may feature:
- Packaging wear or opened packaging
- Minor cosmetic handling marks that do not affect function
When applicable, Open-Box/Blem listings will be clearly labeled.
Blemishes and Cosmetic Variation
Minor cosmetic variation (finish texture, small marks, or slight color variance that does not affect function) is not considered a defect. If you are unhappy upon arrival, contact us within 14 days before installation or use to request an RMA.
Final Sale / Clearance
Items marked Final Sale, Custom, Made-to-Order, or Limited-Run (when the listing states “final sale” or “made-to-order”) are not eligible for return, except where required by law or in the event of a confirmed manufacturing defect.
Purchases From Third Parties
Returns and refunds apply only to purchases made directly from Vulcan Foundry. If you purchased from a third party, contact the original seller regarding return eligibility.
